gwyneddSo yeah, school. Been back for a week, already feeling like shit again. I wish I could just take the cool classes and skip the lame ones.
Anyway, my current schedule:
Monday: Research Writing (ENG 202) 10:10-11, Honors Colloquium in History, Spring 2010: ‘The History of the Body, 1200-1900’ (HIST 487-H01) 5:05-7:45
Tuesday: Advanced Readings in Chinese Culture (CRLG 481) 11-12:15, World Archeology (ANTH 213) 2:00-3:15
Wednesday: Research Writing (ENG 202) 10:10-11, Work in the Arch lab from 12-5
Thursday: Advanced Readings in Chinese Culture (CRLG 481) 11-12:15, World Archeology (ANTH 213) 2:00-3:15, Tutor kids at the library in the evening
Friday: Research Writing (ENG 202) 10:10-11, Work in the Arch lab from 12-5
And starting on February the 8th, I'm also taking a study skills class, because ahahaha turns out I don't know how to study/manage time. Stupid easy high school.
I still have a double room to myself! This is fucking awesome and I am way excited. It's nice having a room to myself again. I don't know how I'd manage all my shit if I had to squeeze into half this space. Top bunk has become storage space, naturally, as has the extra desk and drawers.

I'm going to buy the tickets as soon as my deposit goes through, and then she'll be heeeeeere. Plan now is her busing down on the 19th (a Friday, I think) and then staying through the week. Or however long she wants. 's not like I'm going anywhere :D

Does anyone have suggestions for curing bordem? I don't wanna get myself stuck in a rut like last semester where I sat around and slept/ate/played WoW. Keep in mind I'm not always very motivated and as much as I'd love to exercise, someone would have to physically drag me over there to do so.
1. Where and when did you start RPing?
Uhhh I remember in middle school I did some chat room RP with a friend from school and some of her online friends. We-- RP'd from Love Hina. I was the tsuntsun samurai chick, I think.
My first real RP was at TST though, back iiiiin 11th grade I think? Yeah, 11th, cause I was looking at colleges when it opened.
2. Do you RP anywhere other than LJ?
On AIM sometimes, but that's usually in conjunction with LJ RP so I don't know if it counts :|a
3. Do you play in any public games?
TST~! I can't quit youuuu. Also I play at Grail Wars which is tiny and slow but I really love the premise and the cast ; 3; /not gonna give up!
4. Do you prefer first-person comment spam or prose logging?
A little of both? I don't like RPing in an environment where all there is is comment spam - since then you don't get to do delicious prose - but I'm a really really slow tagger so logs take a lot of effort on my part to get through, and I'm not always satisfied with them.
On the other hand, I really love comment spam for conversationsand showing off my icons ilu Jisu and quick, snappy come-backs (or not ahaha), and I love logs because god is it fun to RP fighting. Also in logs you can show off more of a character than you would in comment spam.
5. What was the first character you ever played?
That chick from Love Hina whose name escapes me. In LJ, it's a tie between Phoenix and Jade.
6. Who's your favorite character to play now and why?
Yuri~ But I also love Flynn I'M SO TORN
Yuri: He's rude, a troll, impulsive, and a giant shonen tard. He manages to combine a smarmy bastard attitude with a heart of gold, which I love. He's also conflicted when it comes to 'obeying the law' or 'doing the right thing' and I really love playing around with tough motivations and choices in my characters. Plus, Yuri has the potential for darker things, which is great for AUs and side-verse stuff.
Flynn: He's a knight in shining goddamn armor. This is excellent, because I also adore characters who are truly good. Beneath that, of course, is the part where Flynn is just as much of a competitive jerk as Yuri, and has very similar conflicts and motivations. I really love playing someone so passionately earnest.
7. What's the longest you've ever consistently played one character?
Mmmm, that's a toss-up between Jade, Phoenix (in some incarnation) and Yuri. For total time in all games, Phoenix would probably get that, but for consistent play time it'd be Yuri.
8. What's your biggest RP pet peeve?
Wank. I'm pretty chill and honestly don't get why people pull shit like that. I mean, I have problems with people I RP with. But I talk to them about it OOCly and don't let it fuck up the pretendy fun times.
Also people not giving a shit about grammar/spelling (IT DOES MATTER GUYS :/) or people using fucking stupid emoticons all the time in OOC speak. Like ^^ or ^.^ or ~^^~ or 'OMG LOL'. I want to punch people who do that. This is not the 90s anymore.
9. Do you read RP secrets and the RP anon meme?
I'm notoriously bad at keeping up with RP fandom ahahaha. I only check out RPS when someone links it. Since I'm a lol mod I do keep an eye on the anon meme but I don't troll it. Stalk the TST thread and leave it be :|b
10. If you've played in public before, do you prefer community based or journal based games?
Journal-based. Community based games don't feel as connected to me. I'm on LJ - when I RP, I want to feel like I'm on LJ and that includes having a realistic friends list.
11. Would you rather play with someone who's very very IC but a mediocre writer or someone who isn't always IC (but not terrible) and a great writer?
Eh, that's a hard choice. I know people of both sorts and they both sort of get on my nerves sometimes.
12. Do you have a "RP partner"?
I guess that would be Neb! Though we haven't actually RP'd together in a while because I'm made of derp. Also because my only muse in our common game has been in prison for like 3 months 8DDD
But I don't have one people I RP with exclusively, in game or in museboxes. I am a social butterfly :|b
13. Do you ever stalk any casts, games, or players? Who?
Not religiously. There are some journals I know the names of, but I mostly have them around as just good players to admire or people with huge icon pools I can rifle through.
14. In your opinion, which part of an app is the most difficult/annoying?
Samples. I don't like having to write without something to go off of.
15. Are you one of those people who has to customize their character's journal layout and userinfo?
I do it on some of my RP journals, but for the most part I just buy the icons and edit feature and I'm good. Effoooorrrrtttt.

17. Are there any canons you avoid tagging characters from?
Pfft, no. I will avoid some players because I think they're shitty, but that's on a personal level. I don't outright avoid entire casts. That's just stupid.

God, so many. The Lunasa Day Bombing thread was probably the peak of my Jade muse. I liked the arrest log with Yuri, because I love watching my characters get hurt and still be jackasses. Aaaand even though it's not finished, I do love the summoning log with Flynn. He's so moe :>

Eh, not publicly. I do some on AIM, but most of it's locked away in museboxes. Not difficult to get to or anything, but it's not out in the open either.

Males. Also Franziska, but I'm not really sure where she fits in. My only other female muse is a mad scientist with impulse control issues.

Hard-core guro, I guess. I've never really tried though, so don't take my word on it. So far there's been nothing I won't RP at least once.
22. Dressing rooms: yes or no?
I used to fiddle around in them a bit, then phased out as I got more into TST. I'm sort of derping around Pokemondressing right now with Ruby, and having a blast.IS THERE AN OP DRESSING ROOM? I WANT TO PLAY CROCODILE.

Sort of; most of them never got anywhere. I like ships, but I like to ship things outside of the main game. Like my musebox is stuffed with shipping stuff, while the ICly I sort of avoid serious relationships.
I just really like gen and nakamaaaaaa ok.

Public games, though musebox is a close second.
25. Talking RP with someone else who plays your character: fun or awkward?
AWKWARD FOREVER. Either I admire the person and feel really self conscious about my rendition of the muse, or I think I do it better and feel shitty over feeling superior.
