Ok so I've been really scarce lately. For those of you who have known me for a while, you are probably thinking "oh, Rian just got sucked into WoW again. She'll surface in a week or so."
This is not the case! (though my behbeh paladin is level 71 now and I love her to itty bitty pieces yes I do ♥) See, when traveling west to east, there is this fun little phenomenon called 'jet lag'. For most people, this is little more than a few days of being sort of tired and doing the whole early to bed/early to rise shindig. Not for Rian. Rian is apparently v. sensitive to travel. Rian gets bone-achingly tired for up to a week and a half, and is also prone to colds, aches, pains, and all the fun that comes with a weakened immune system.
I got back from China a week ago and my jet lag is slightly better, but I still spend most of the day in a bleary, aching haze. Naturally this week is the week mother decided we ought to start cleaning the house for selling.
And by cleaning I mean cleaning. Like getting out the ladder and scrubbing the outside 2-3 story windows. Or scouring off 15 years worth of grime from the kitchen table. Or mopping and polishing all 43,000 square feet of hardwood in our house. It is not fun or conducive to getting over jet lag, let me tell you.
Luckily, the slave labor only happens when mother is home, which so far has been 3 or 4 days out of the last 8. Huzzah ER hours! I love my mother but I do not love cleaning. I can snark at her well enough over the phone, you know.
Today was full of Ikea madness and my parents attempting to force me to speak more Chinese. Of course, the Chinese population in Atlanta is 90% Cantonese and I only speak Mandarin. Or I try to speak Mandarin. It's a touch and go sort of thing, my attempts at Chinese. Also Ikea NEVER ENDS DEAR GOD. So many sofas, so many strange, strange Swedish names for things.
But, I think I am finally feeling well enough to get back into tagging now, which is good considering I've already been booted from one RP in the last week (for inactivity) and would rather not have that happen in TST, the light and love of my life.
I'm gonna go...sleep or something now. Maybe. MIA FINISH THAT FIERTIA/YURI FIC RAWR ♥
