Saw it last night (8:50 showing). Was rather afraid of getting in school trouble, what with getting back late and all, but Irolled a good bluff check managed to bluff my way out of it. (ha, I'm good)
Lots of WTF moments. Lots. But, they work. Nicely. The ending is such a twist....I was just kinda sitting the theatre during it with my jaw slack. I mean, WOW.
The rock crabs. SO CUTE AND CREEPY. That scene was cool however, due to the swarm of Jack Sparrow's, some of them partially nekked.
Really, I think the writers were tripping on SOMETHING. The Davy Jones Locker thing? Yeeeeeah. Was interesting, though.
Not enough Will/Lizzy stuff. It was all kinda like, *random angst* "OMG YOU LIED!" *makes out*. I mean, the situation itself was good, it just wasn't well expounded upon. That could be said for other parts of the movie - Xiao Fong, or whatever his name was, The Brethren, Sparrow!Daddy, Calypso, the trip to go rescue Jack, stuff like that.
R.I.P. NORRINGTON! *bawls like very very small child* I can't believe he's dead. ;_; It SUCKS. SO HARD. At least herealized his lifelong dream of snogging Elizabeth picked the right side in the end. Ahhhhhhhhhhhhhhh.
Will. WTF. He is pirate trufax! Large chunks of the movie (particularly with Will and Jack) consisted of everyone betraying everyone else. Will's particularly bad with this. But it works. He's now a bastard, instead of a naive blacksmith *pats*.
Will. WTF. OMG THE ENDING. I might have had problems breathing. It was just so WOW. NO ONE SAW THAT COMING (EXCEPT THE WRITERS BUT THEY DON'T COUNT).
I will now ship Jack/Will most passionately, as long as it's got Lizzy going back to Norrington, 'CAUSE HE DESERVES IT. TT_TT Still no James/Will, though. Just not my cuppa tea (Jack/James, however, is ALWAYS acceptable).
